Shingle Roofs
Asphalt shingles may be made with single-layer, heavier multi-layer, or high-quality laminated luxury shingles, which offer greater protection against weather damage. Asphalt shingles of all types are available in a variety of colors, allowing you to customize the look of your home or commercial property, and they are the most affordable roofing option available.
As they are more prone to damage than metal or tile roofs, shingle roofs do require more frequent inspections and maintenance after severe storms. Missing or damaged shingles should be replaced immediately in order to prevent damage to the roof deck. Asphalt shingle roofs generally have a lifespan of 15-20 years, though proper maintenance can extend their lifespan. We offer customized maintenance programs that help to ensure the longevity of your shingle roof.
Metal Roofs
Metal roofs are a fantastic energy-efficient roofing option, offering energy savings of up to 25% by reflecting heat and helping to keep rooms cooler. Modern metal roofs are available in a range of styles, many of which mimic other types of roofs such as shingle or tile roofs, making them a suitable choice for many different types of buildings. As they are fireproof, termite-proof, and rot-proof, they’re an attractive option not only for homeowners but for their insurance companies. High-quality metal roof installations, when well-maintained, typically last 40-70 years.
A metal roof may be installed over a shingle roof without the added expense of removing the shingles, provided a venting system is put in place to prevent moisture build-up. Our experts will assess your roof to determine the best course of action.
Tile Roofs
Tile roofs offer some of the most aesthetically pleasing and creative options of all roof types — and the most durable. Constructed with concrete or clay, roofing tiles are available in a wide range of colors and shapes, allowing you to fully customize the look of your home and achieve your aesthetic vision. Tile roofs offer enhanced protection from salt air and inclement weather and provide great energy savings, helping to offset the cost of an installation over time. When properly installed and maintained, a tile roof may last 50 years or more, making it a worthwhile expense. NOTE: Tile is not a recommended option for many buildings, as their weight requires a strong underlying structure. Our experts can help determine whether a tile roof is the right option for you.
TPO Roofs
Thermoplastic polyolefin (TPO) is a white, single-ply synthetic membrane that reflects heat and UV rays. When used as a roofing material, it helps to keep the spaces below at a lower temperature, reducing the need to keep costly air conditioners running at full power. This is an excellent energy-efficient roofing option for Florida homes and businesses with flat or low-sloped roofs. With proper maintenance, TPO roofs can last for decades.
EPDM Roofs
Ethylene propylene diene terpolymer (EPDM) is a durable synthetic rubber membrane that is environmentally friendly and 100% recyclable. Used for flat roofs, EPDM is exceptionally waterproof and extremely flame-resistant, making it an ideal choice for areas prone to stormy weather or wildfires. It offers great energy savings by helping to regulate building temperature, will not degrade over time, and is easy to install, even over previously installed roofing membranes. Well-maintained EPDM roofs have a lifespan of up to 50 years.
Flat Roofs
Flat or low-sloped roofs have a pitch (or slant) of up to ten degrees and make up the vast majority of commercial roofs, though they may also be used for residential homes, particularly for new additions to the original build. Flat roofs can accommodate green roofs, solar panel installations, or rooftop recreational spaces such as patios. Flat roofs may be coated in a range of substances, from bitumen and asphalt to TPO or EPDM. Quality workmanship is absolutely essential for flat roofs, as poor construction can lead to leaks. Flat roofs that are properly waterproofed and maintained can last for up to 20 years.
